29. Nov 2009, mitten in der NachtThe first encounter

Okay, it’s not really the first encounter. But at least the first I have on video. Spontaneously recorded, with the iPhone. Because I found it cute. So please do not complain about the quality, the content is what counts :-)

27. Nov 2009, mitten in der NachtWelcome, Malte Lennart

25th November 2009, 0:55 am: our son Malte Lennart enters this world. For the stats: 3300g and 49cm. The birth itself ran smoothly, just as written in the books. Still, it was a miracle! Mam and Malte are just fine, and Dad, too. Nadja was pampered by Grandma and Grandpa and could not wait to see Malte next morning. But enough said, let the pictures talk!

29. Sep 2009, abendsOur Tuscany trip

The destination for our summer vacation 2009 was Lajatico in Tuscany, Italy. We have been there two times before, and also the third time we liked it very much! It was great for us three to relax, spent time together and forget about time, work and other daily duties. During the weekends we were four as Christianes sister Ulrike visited us. She is currently living in Florence and was happy to see her nice again. As everybody knows the “typical” pictures of beautiful Tuscany, we selected only a few personal ones. Enjoy!

I guess it’s time for some updates about Nadja, the Lates Nadja News. She is growing and developing quickly. We do not realize it that much as we see her daily but if we have a look on photos from February it is quite a significant difference. And not only the look is changing, she is acquiring new abilities every week – right according to the “plans in the books”.

She got her fourth teeth (that’s why she had a little temperature last night). She learns to make more sounds and faces. She even starts trying to eat and drink herself. While holding the bottle is not a problem, the theory of eating baby mash with a spoon is still to be learned :-) Currently she is fighting with her mother “who owns the spoon”. And, if mom thinks she can keep the spoon, well, Nadja uses her fingers. Okay, I guess every baby has to put her fingers in the mash or meal one day, hasn’t it? What the result looks like? Have a look! (BTW: right-click on the images and you can toggle on FULLSCREEN view…)
