This is how Malte looks when he is sleeping. Cute, isn’t it? Like a little angel.
Well, the path to sleep is long and stony. Malte seems the be afraid to miss something while sleeping. Everytime he gets tired, and his eyes are closing, he fights against the sleep with all his might. It is fascinating to watch it when you try to lull him to sleep in your arms. Well, to be honest, sometimes it is also nerving… “Come on, little one, stop fighting, fall asleep and have a nice dream”, I would like to whisper to him in such moments.
13. Dec 2009, (hoffentlich) FeierabendThe first bath
We had to wait a little longer, but finally the umbilical cord was gone. So it was time for the first bath, and we could use the little blue baby bathtub waiting in our bathroom for weeks. While bathing was pure horror for Nadja in the beginning, Malte loves the water right from the start. He relaxes in the warm water – just as described in the books in the advertisments. Still – according to our midwife we simply use some milk instead of expensive baby bath cosmetics.
Friday, 27th November 2009: Welcome home, Malte Lennart! And of course his name is now written on the door (of the children’s room) – even if he sleeps in our bedroom for the time being and spends most of his day time with us in the kitchen or living room. :-)
Okay, it’s not really the first encounter. But at least the first I have on video. Spontaneously recorded, with the iPhone. Because I found it cute. So please do not complain about the quality, the content is what counts :-)
25th November 2009, 0:55 am: our son Malte Lennart enters this world. For the stats: 3300g and 49cm. The birth itself ran smoothly, just as written in the books. Still, it was a miracle! Mam and Malte are just fine, and Dad, too. Nadja was pampered by Grandma and Grandpa and could not wait to see Malte next morning. But enough said, let the pictures talk!
