27. Jan 2009, nachmittagsLearning to eat

Today’s menu was pumpkin soup. A lovely experience, watching Nadja eating it. Especially when her left hand dived into the soup first and then, in a typical move, was “pressed” against her forehead. This had to be documented! And in connection with the photos of the classic “spinach lunch” togehter with the pictures made by her grandparents this weekend during breakfast a nice gallery is completed.

To all couples becoming pr planning to become parents: It’s not that bad, most of the blurs go away while warm mashine wash :-)

23. Jan 2009, kurz vorm Feierabend Snow

(published via WordPress for iPhone)

As this post was published via the iPhone I could not deliver the English version until today. I am sorry for any inconvinience :-)

6 am wake up in Berlin, at noon on the ski slope already. That is a completely new experience for a guy from Berlin. And a nice one – thanks to cheap airlines like transavia! Berlin-Tegel airport to Innsbruck airport only 1 hour flight time. All right, somehow we “missed” the 9+ hours in the car to get “prepared” for the ski holiday. But as soon as we were wearing ski clothes and shoes and pressed the skipass to the sensor of the ski lift we realized “Yes, it’s skiing time!”

Another interesting insight I had: How do you realize you do to much business trips? When arriving at the airport I felt like “work” – for most other travellers the airport is a symbol for “holidays”.

Today filmed successfully: Steps No. 9 to 12.5. Okay, I stop counting now… was just for the statistics of the video :-)

04. Jan 2009, spaet abendsShe’s walking…

Nadja walks. On her own. Without helping hands, without supporting herself on the wall or table, without her pram or Bobby-Car. Just on her own. Yesterday she made the first three steps, from free standing into her mom’s arms. Today 4,5 steps into daddy’s arms. It will be documented on video in the next days for sure (and then published here of course!). So come back soon ;-)

29. Dec 2008, spaet abendsNadja on the run…

A new little video showing Nadja – she started to walk up’n down the corridor with her doll’s pram made by HABA. Mostly “on the double” (speed) and yelling, from one end to the other. Even turning the pram is working fine – sometimes :-)

Three times the big wheel on the Christmas market near the Alexa shopping centre, just in the middle between Jannowitzbruecke and Alexanderplatz in Berlin. Three times winter in Berlin. Why it can’t be always a sunny winter day?

23. Dec 2008, abendsMerry X-Mas!

01 Nadja laechelt

A short but warm season greeting on the eve of the Christmas eve from all the Three of us. We did not manage to greet all we wanted personally or with regular mail. And as I am not a fan of X-Mas (or season) greeting mass mailings, we did not use this communication method, either. Instead we post here a small greeting: Have lovely, joyful, peaceful and relaxing holidays!

25. Nov 2008, spaet abendsNadja discovers oranges

Nadja likes fruits, best bananas. Sometimes also apples, peaches or mango. Now, in (pre-)christmas time, we bought some oranges. Nice mellow Navelina oranges from Spain. Usually juicy and sweet. Nadjas first contact with this fruit – which was not that sweet after all – we recorded. Enjoy!

22. Nov 2008, mittagsLate riser

Nadja schläft gern lange

Probably it is not really fair to post about that topic here. Especially if you have a little child as well. We don’t want to show off with Nadja. Well… maybe… a little bit. ;-) Many parents just can hardly believe it. So that’s why here is the proof: Nadja is a late riser, especially on weekends. Usally she doesn’t wake up before 8:30 am, sometimes not before 9 am. Or, like today, she even sleeps till 9:30 am. Maybe she would have been sleeping even longer but we got a bit nervous. So we made some quick shoots with the camera and then woke her up softly.

16. Nov 2008, spaet abendsA luxury weekend

That was a great weekend! Of course we missed Nadja, but knowing that her Grandparents taking care for her gave us the opportunity to enjoy again the hospitality of the Hotel Haferland. A wounderful hotel, family owned with warm hearts. Lovely designed, with nice wellness area, friendly “Haferland ghosts” (the employees) and good food. Excellent food, to be honest. Breakfast as well as dinner menu. Mostly regional recipes, the ingredients from the area, produced organically and prepared very artfully. To cut it short: A perfect weekend to take a deep breath. Well, the bill is nearly as high as for one week holiday in Turkey – only that the weekend at the Haferland provides us more recovery ;-)
