Time still flies by. :) Meanwhile the little one is 5 months old already. He lies on his belly. He turns – conciously, even if not co-ordinated yet. And he is laughing. If the sun shines, spring is turning everything green again and he can enjoy the fresh air on the balcony, he is smiling at his best. And we are smiling, too…
Time flies by. Malte is 3,5 months already. It feels like yesterday when the little one was just born. Of course he is still “little” – however he grew quite a bit already. And he acts and reacts meanwhile. He can make his baby seat swinging all by himself for instance. And he loves it. It is the best thing anyway if he is smiling and laughing. He likes to be undressed. And if we play and tickle him. Have a look yourself :-)
02. Sep 2009, kurz vorm FeierabendThe Wedding
Finally, last weekend the wedding took place: Denny and Doreen became husband and wife. Christiane, who was selected as maid of honour, did a lot of preparation and organisation for the party. And being her husband, of course I supported her (at least a little bit). To cut a long story short: it was a fantastic party with a beautiful couple. Everything run smoothly, no bad surprises or mistakes happened. Christiane and Robert, the best man of Denny, fully managed the whole day, and could even enjoy the party themselves ;-)
From my point of view it is the choice of the wedding couple to present photos. So I only post one particular picture I love very much. It was taken during a break of the official shooting, to catch the “best friends”, bride and maid of honour, on this very day.
So much has happened, and so little time to write about it. For weeks we are in the wedding planning. No, not our own – we will have our 7th anniversary very soon. It’s Christianes best friend who will be married, and so Christiane has a lot to organize. Stag party, wedding newspaper, games for the wedding party, presents, right clothes and all the other stuff. This saturday is THE day. Finally ;-) One week later we will go on holidays. Again: FINALLY! To Italy, to Tuscany!
Because it won’t get easier as Christianes belly is growing literally every day ;-) ‘We’ are in week 26 already (luckily there is an iPhone App for that as well…).
Some picture my parents have made during the last weeks…
UPDATE: I uploaded some more pictures taken this weekend. Nadja driving her Bobbycar and the first “sessions” on the potty.
It took a long time. First, I did not find time for blogging. Then, when I started to write on Saturday, I got problems with my system. I just could not upload any pictures anymore! After a long sunday evening, which turned into an even longer sunday night, I was lost and desparate. I had tried to upgrade the system to the latest version (which failed due to some small mistake by myself) and finally had to rollback to the previous (back-uped) version. Today I finally found the reason. It is not WordPress, it is also not my beloved NextGenGallyer-Plugin. The reason is 1&1, my hoster. Luckily I found a workaround, if you are interested.
Fact 1: Now I definitely will change my hoster with the end of my running contract. The price-service-ratio is miserable. My new blog is running at Strato already.
Fact 2: Nothing of this is probably at any interest of you. You were looking for updates from Nadja, so here they are:

(published via WordPress for iPhone)
As this post was published via the iPhone I could not deliver the English version until today. I am sorry for any inconvinience :-)
6 am wake up in Berlin, at noon on the ski slope already. That is a completely new experience for a guy from Berlin. And a nice one – thanks to cheap airlines like transavia! Berlin-Tegel airport to Innsbruck airport only 1 hour flight time. All right, somehow we “missed” the 9+ hours in the car to get “prepared” for the ski holiday. But as soon as we were wearing ski clothes and shoes and pressed the skipass to the sensor of the ski lift we realized “Yes, it’s skiing time!”
Another interesting insight I had: How do you realize you do to much business trips? When arriving at the airport I felt like “work” – for most other travellers the airport is a symbol for “holidays”.

Nadja walks. On her own. Without helping hands, without supporting herself on the wall or table, without her pram or Bobby-Car. Just on her own. Yesterday she made the first three steps, from free standing into her mom’s arms. Today 4,5 steps into daddy’s arms. It will be documented on video in the next days for sure (and then published here of course!). So come back soon ;-)

Three times the big wheel on the Christmas market near the Alexa shopping centre, just in the middle between Jannowitzbruecke and Alexanderplatz in Berlin. Three times winter in Berlin. Why it can’t be always a sunny winter day?

UPDATE:
Today, early January, it is again a wounderful sunny winterday in Berlin, even with white snow covering the city.
A short but warm season greeting on the eve of the Christmas eve from all the Three of us. We did not manage to greet all we wanted personally or with regular mail. And as I am not a fan of X-Mas (or season) greeting mass mailings, we did not use this communication method, either. Instead we post here a small greeting: Have lovely, joyful, peaceful and relaxing holidays!
