There are many things Nadja needs (or to say it better: there are many products offered in the shops and stores to young parents to spend their money for ;-) ). One which is probably a good buy for small children is a feeding or high chair. Most common in Germany are the wooden made “growing” high chairs like the Stokke Tripp Trapp, the “copy” Herlag Tipp Topp or the nice feeding chairs designed by Geuther. All very beautiful, all practicable (because usable a long time), all not appropriate for us! Why?

The dining corner was made as a part of the countertop in our kitchen. For that reason it is higher (91 cm) than a “usual” dining table. So for us we purchased some bar spools with 63 cm seating high (from IKEA) – but what to buy for Nadja? The “usual suspects” offer only a seating level of ca. 56 -58 cm, much to low for us. After some email requests to the manufactures (Geuther and Stokke answered quickly and competent, compliment!) and futher web research we finally found this one: Brevi Slex. Swiss design, Made in Italy. USP: maximum seating level variability (39 – 72!!! cm). No wood, but practically. Tested “Good” from Stiftung Warentest. And surprisingly handy. Priced among Geuther, Herlag and Stokke. This chair is not to be found everywhere but in Germany at least it is sold by Quelle/Baby-Walz/Neckermann. And, to our surprise (and for the sales woman surprising as well!), it was on stock at the Baby-Walz store in Berlin-Charlottenburg, which we passed by luck. Even the additional seat cushion. Seen, tested, bought. And assembled today. Was quite easy, only six screws to fix. User experience reports will follow later…
