29. Oct 2011, kurz vorm MittagTime is running fast…

Today I want to publish a new blog post, finally! Well, even if you read this at the time of publishing, it’s been more than one month since I wrote this lines. Why? Because the family portrait which is the reason for this posting is a birthday present to my dad. While now, when I am writing these lines, is the 26th of September, his b-day party will be on 29th of October only. So I will use Wordpress’ publishing time feature to get this article live while we are partying with him in approximately one month time.

Well, what else should I say with regards to the picture… what else than “Time is running fast…”. Because this one feels like it was taken yesterday.

03. Sep 2010, kurz vorm MittagGood night…

There was a German Schlager about a lady who never went to bed without a book. Well, same with Nadja. Every evening we read a book before she goes to bed. Recently, Malte joined the ritual. With full engagement, as you can see. :-)

03. Sep 2010, kurz vorm MittagMalte on the Green

Just a quick snapshot of Malte from last weekend. We spent it with the whole (huge!) family of my wife somewhere in Baitz, a small village in Brandenburg near Berlin. As you can see, Malte loved the green. And enjoyed a wonderful weekend. Just as we did!

03. May 2010, abendsMalte likes spring time

Malte auf dem Balkon

Time still flies by. :) Meanwhile the little one is  5 months old already. He lies on his belly. He turns – conciously, even if not co-ordinated yet. And he is laughing. If the sun shines, spring is turning everything green again and he can enjoy the fresh air on the balcony, he is smiling at his best. And we are smiling, too… Malte freut sich über den Frühling

15. Mar 2010, frueh am MorgenNadja is “My Idol”

During the last weeks there were a lot of stories told around DSDS (Germans version of “Pop Idol” or “American Idol”) and USFO (a competing casting show selecting a candidate for EuroVision Song Contest in Olso). Basically I did not watch any of those shows. Why? Well, because I found my idol. Who could top this? ;-)

15. Mar 2010, frueh am MorgenLMN – Latest Malte News

Time flies by. Malte is 3,5 months already. It feels like yesterday when the little one was just born. Of course he is still “little” – however he grew quite a bit already. And he acts and reacts meanwhile. He can make his baby seat swinging all by himself for instance. And he loves it. It is the best thing anyway if he is smiling and laughing. He likes to be undressed. And if we play and tickle him. Have a look yourself :-)

09. Jan 2010, spaet abendsIs he sleeping?

12 Nun schläft er

This is how Malte looks when he is sleeping. Cute, isn’t it? Like a little angel.

Well, the path to sleep is long and stony. Malte seems the be afraid to miss something while sleeping. Everytime he gets tired, and his eyes are closing, he fights against the sleep with all his might. It is fascinating to watch it when you try to lull him to sleep in your arms. Well, to be honest, sometimes it is also nerving… “Come on, little one, stop fighting, fall asleep and have a nice dream”, I would like to whisper to him in such moments.

13. Dec 2009, (hoffentlich) FeierabendThe first bath

091212_malte_erstes_bad

We had to wait a little longer, but finally the umbilical cord was gone. So it was time for the first bath, and we could use the little blue baby bathtub waiting in our bathroom for weeks. While bathing was pure horror for Nadja in the beginning, Malte loves the water right from the start. He relaxes in the warm water – just as described in the books in the advertisments. Still – according to our midwife we simply use some milk instead of expensive baby bath cosmetics.

30. Nov 2009, mittagsWelcome home

091130_malte-nadja

Friday, 27th November 2009: Welcome home, Malte Lennart! And of course his name is now written on the door (of the children’s room) – even if he sleeps in our bedroom for the time being and spends most of his day time with us in the kitchen or living room. :-)
